Kris Ridl je jedan od najpopularnijih ilustratora današnjice.

Ilustrovao je preko sto knjiga za decu i osvojio mnogobrojne nagrade. Svake nedelje crta karikature za novine Observer.

Dva puta je osvajao Medalju Kejt Grinavej, a dobitnik je i Zlatne nagrade Smartiz i Srebrne nagrade Nestle Omiljeni slatkiš su mu gumene bombone. Zbog njih je postao ilustrator.

Živi kraj mora u Brajtonu, sa ženom i troje dece.
