Košarkaška reprezentacija Srbije savladala je u Beogradu selekciju Mađarske sa 94:60 (27:17, 17:15, 19:20, 31:8) i ostvarila drugu pobedu u kvalifikacijama za Evropsko prvenstvo 2009. godine.

Ulaz u Arenu bio je besplatan, a organizatori su posle meča rekli da je utakmicu gledalo 22.000 ljudi, dok je još 6.000 ostalo ispred hale.

Najefikasniji u našem timu bili su Erceg sa 15 i Tripković sa 13 poena. Još četiri igrača imala su dvocifren broj poena. Tepić je ubacio 11, po deset su postigli Marjanović, Vujanić i Veličković. Najbolji učinak na meču imao je Martin Bader sa 16 poena i 11 skokova. Meč u Beogradu posmatralo je preko 20 hiljada gledalaca, a sledeću utakmicu naša selekcija igra sa Finskom.

Dušan Ivković je na teren izveo sastav Perović, Veličković, Vujanić, Kecman i Tepić, dok je za selekciju Mađarske zaigrala petorka u sastavu Sitku, Nemet, Bader, Kaman i Simon Balaž. Novi igrači u našem timu bili su Marjanović i Savanović.
